Outside two large decks provide stunning sun rise and sun set views, while the private salt water splash pool provides a refreshing welcome. The Big Five of course, often visiting the home, but most often spotted on Game drives organized through the Country Club. Spoil somebody special or the entire family to an exceptional dining experience at the Itaga Lodge a short bush drive (less than 3km) away from the home. For the more active we are affiliated to the Zebula Country Club where the keen golfer can sharpen their skills while the rest of the party can enjoy the facilities of the Club which includes squash/gym/tennis courts, a heated and cold pool. For those wanting to give self catering a break, the Country Club offers excellent dining at value for money prices. Bela Bela is 20 minutes away, it is renown for the natural hot mineral springs and for the more adventurous the Aventura Resort offers watersports.

Ngong Hill Lodge provides self catering accommodation for 6 people. Situated in a 13,000 hectare private nature reserve (Mabalingwe) supporting the big five. It is a 30 minute trip out of Bela Bela (Warmbaths). A beautiful home with breathtaking views of the Waterberg mountains. A game viewing vehicle can be hired, subject to availability, own trips around the reserve . There is access to swimming pools, tennis and squash courts, horse riding and much more. The main bedroom has 1 queen size bed with an en-suite bathroom with a bath, toilet and 2 basins. There is an outside shower outside the main bedroom for a genuine bush shower. The upstairs bedroom has a queen size bed and a fantastic view! The bathroom is directly outside the room with a shower with doors opening outside, toilet and basin. The 3rd room has 2 single beds and there is a separate guest toilet at the entrance of the home. All rooms have linen on beds and towels are provided. Bela-Bela also offers eating out options and is close enough to pick up any self catering supplies that may be required.

Rooibos Lodge offers self catering bush lodge accommodation located in Kromdraai, about 55km outside Bela Bela towards Thabazimbi. Rooibos is a 35 ha farm with good security fencing around the whole farm with two herds of Nyala , Dyker and an abundance of bird life. This place is for the "City Slicker" that loves his City comforts. Never run out of ice, filter coffee in the morning and plenty of cooling space for the cold ones. Rooibos have two cottages, each cottage with two double en-suite rooms and a loft with 4 single beds and outside ablution. Each cottage can sleep 8 people. All rooms have ceiling fans, bedding and towels. Each cottage has an inside braai and an outside boma braai for the person that like to cook on open fire. The kitchen is fully equipped with an ice machine, fridge/freezer, gas hob, filter coffee machine, microwave and an outside beverage fridge in the lapa. All cottages are fully serviced daily. Each cottage has got undercover parking, an outside shower and toilet. There are 2 swimming pools, one at each cottage.

Bela-Bela - Warmbaths

Bela-Bela was previously known as Warmbaths. The Bela-Bela area is known for it's hot springs (hence the original name). Bela-Bela is only about an hour's drive from Pretoria and not more than 90 minutes from Johannesburg International Airport. This is a malaria free area.

The springs in the Bela-Bela area measure 49 degrees centigrade at the source and contain dissolved salts like sodium chloride and calcium chloride.

Most probably the biggest resort in the area is the Aventura Resort and Hydro. It has a 21-meter-square inside pool, which leads to a cooler outside pool. Waterslides are available and is an ideal way to keep the kids amused.

If you are not interested in a crowded holiday resort and rather want to relax and watch game or birds then the Bela-Bela area also has accommodation in the form of catered/self catered bush lodges, self catering chalets, caravan parks and camping grounds.

  1. The property (you) must offer the 15% saving to all verified members
  2. Verification is done automatically at the time of an enquiry. It is at the property’s discretion whether to offer the saving for a telephonic enquiry. (As you have no means to verify the membership number, it is advisable to get them to do a formal enquiry so they can be verified).
  3. If the property is currently running a "Special" greater than 15% then the "Special" price will apply. (No further savings needs to be offered). EXCEPT in the case where the "Special" is lower than 15%. In that case the 15% will apply.
    Example: A property offering a 10% discount, must offer an additional 5% discount to valid members - so they get a total 15% saving.
  4. The property must offer valid members the saving all year round. (Properties that pick and chose in which seasons to participate run the risk of being removed from the programme completely. Allowing selective participation defeats the integrity of this initiative).
  5. The property must not inflate the price before the 15% is applied. Prices displayed should be the rack rate. (The official or advertised price of a room).
  6. The property must honour any bookings made while the property was participating as a $elect Stays property.
  7. The property must honour the agreement and the spirit in which the initiative is designed to benefit local tourism.
